- Typically, you could have your port speed, the DTE rate, set too high for
- your computer, generating errors. That is ONE of many possibilities.

- the modem will support. If you have to drop to 19200 bps without seeing a
- drop in the error rate, then you need a new I/O card with 16550 type uarts
- on it. Win95 definately requires such hardware.

- This is just ONE of several possibilities. If you type in AT&F&W1, then
- the modem will be set correctly for normal operation, and you should be
- able to use a DTE rate up to 115200 without errors. Otherwise you have a
- defect in either computer or modem.(probably)
